About the BMA
The BMA is an independent trade union and professional body for doctors and medical students. There are over 140,000 members worldwide – around 116,000 are in the UK and come from all branches of medicine.
We are the voice for doctors and medical students – in constant contact with ministers, government departments and many other influential bodies. We are committed to keeping our members in touch with the profession’s collective views and policies and to being at the forefront of healthcare development.
By standing up for doctors, the BMA is standing up for our health.
