Market reforms are not producing anticipated benefits

Introducing market forces into the National Health Service has so far failed to bring the anticipated benefits because ministers and Whitehall still exercise too much control, according to a study published today on the impact of competition and choice on the NHS. Join the march to support our NHS!

The BMA is joining other public service unions and campaigns in a mass march and rally to protest against the privatisation of the welfare state and cuts in services.

The march takes place in London on 10th April from 12.00 p.m.  It will be followed by a rally, at which Dr. Hamish Meldrum, BMA Council Chairman, will be among the speakers.
